Kate ‘Doing Well’ Amid Cancer Treatment: William
News Desk
London: During a solo tour of St. Mary’s Community Hospital on the Isles of Scilly, Prince William provided a positive update on his wife’s health, according to a statement from a hospital administrator.
This marks one of the rare occasions where the prince has commented on Kate’s condition since her announcement of undergoing cancer treatment.
William traveled to the Isles of Scilly, located off the Cornish coast in southwestern England, to inaugurate a new building project that will include facilities such as inpatient treatment beds and a maternity suite.
According to Tracy Smith, a hospital administrator, William responded affirmatively when asked about Kate’s well-being, stating, “she’s doing well, thanks.” Smith also extended an invitation for the couple to visit the hospital along with their children.
Following her disclosure of an undisclosed cancer diagnosis on March 22, the Princess of Wales retreated from public engagements to focus on her treatment, which includes chemotherapy.
This announcement came shortly after her father-in-law, King Charles III, revealed his own battle with cancer.
Despite ongoing treatment, Charles resumed public duties recently, with Buckingham Palace stating that doctors are optimistic about his progress.
