Karachi to Feel Quetta’s Chilly Winds Tomorrow
News Desk
Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted a significant drop in temperatures across Karachi starting tomorrow, as chilly winds are expected to sweep in from Quetta.
According to the Met Office, nighttime temperatures in the city are likely to fall to between 13°C and 15°C over the next 24 hours. The PMD noted that prevailing continental air over most parts of the country is contributing to a sharper winter spell.
Nationwide, cold and dry conditions are expected to persist, with severe cold forecast for high-altitude regions. The Met Office also warned that foggy conditions in the plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) are likely to intensify, affecting visibility during early morning and late-night travel.

In northern areas, both day and night temperatures are projected to decline further in the coming days. Over the past 24 hours, very cold weather was reported in hilly regions, while smog and patches of fog affected several low-lying areas of Punjab and KP.
Some of the lowest minimum temperatures recorded on Sunday included Skardu and Leh at -8°C, Gilgit at -6°C, Quetta at -4°C, and Babusar, Gupis, and Astore at -3°C. Kalat and Dir registered lows of -2°C.
