Karachi Grapples with Surge in Diarrhea Cases

Islamabad: The incidence of diarrhea has surged in Karachi, according to Dr Irfan, the head of Jinnah Hospital Emergency.
He noted a 10 percent rise in cases compared to the usual rate, with a further increase observed post-Ramadan. Jinnah Hospital is now seeing 25 to 30 cases of diarrhea and gastroenteritis daily.
Dr Irfan emphasized the potential life-threatening complications associated with diarrhea. Medical professionals advise boiling water as a preventive measure against diarrhea and gastroenteritis.
