Karachi: Karachi experienced widespread power outages on Friday as tripping in K-Electric’s extra high-tension (EHT) line led to several grid stations going offline. The disruption has left numerous areas across the city without electricity since early morning, causing significant inconvenience to residents.

Majorly affected areas include Lyari, Kharadar, Defence, I.I. Chundrigar Road, SITE Area, North Karachi, North Nazimabad, and Numaish Chowrangi. Residents of Federal B Area have also reported prolonged outages, with power supply in several blocks suspended for hours.

Efforts are reportedly underway to restore electricity, but the situation has disrupted daily routines in the city. K-Electric has yet to provide an update on the restoration timeline.
