Karachi Admin Seals 4 Factories Making Soap from Animal Offal

Karachi: The Karachi administration launched a crackdown on factories producing sub-standard soap from animal offal, sealing four such factories and apprehending 12 individuals on Monday.

According to a statement, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Korangi, Masood Bhutto, submitted a progress report to Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi.

The report highlighted that the sealed factories were using animal offal in soap production, making the product unfit for human consumption and a potential environmental hazard.

The apprehended individuals were handed over to the police for further legal proceedings. Commissioner Karachi has directed the continuation of the campaign and instructed deputy commissioners of other Karachi districts to take action against similar factories in their areas.
