Kaghan: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has intensified efforts to restore road connectivity in Kaghan Valley following heavy snowfall and landslides that disrupted travel.

On the directives of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Advisor for Tourism, Culture, and Archaeology Zahid Khan Zenab, and Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) Director General Shabbir Khan, restoration operations have been expedited to reopen blocked roads and facilitate smooth travel for locals and tourists.

Severe weather had led to road closures in Kaghan Bazaar and surrounding areas, leaving thousands stranded and causing significant inconvenience. In response, DG Shabbir Khan deployed additional machinery and technical staff to speed up the restoration process.

Due to the relentless efforts of KDA’s teams, key roads in Kaghan Bazaar and Shogran have been successfully reopened. Work continues at full pace to clear remaining routes and prevent further disruptions.
The swift and coordinated response has been widely appreciated, particularly for prioritizing local communities’ needs and ensuring the safety of visitors to the scenic valley.

“Our teams are working around the clock to restore normalcy and minimize inconvenience for residents and tourists,” said DG Shabbir Khan.

The restoration is expected to boost local tourism and provide relief to residents who depend on these roads for daily travel and economic activities.
