Journalist’s Murder Sparks Protest in Muzaffargarh

Islamabad: A strong protest was held against the murder of senior journalist Ishfaq Ahmed Siyal in Muzaffargarh on Friday.
People from different walks of life, including political leaders and common citizens, participated in the protest, which was held outside Muzaffargarh press club.
AB Mujahid, President of the Muzaffargarh Press Club, former MPA Hammad Nawaz Tipo, and Osman Baloch were among those who vehemently condemned the heinous act, labeling it as an attack on journalistic integrity.
The demonstrators collectively demanded swift arrest of the perpetrators and heightened security measures for journalists.
Amidst the protest, concerns were raised regarding Ishfaq Ahmed Siyal’s treatment upon his transfer to DHQ Hospital Muzaffargarh.
Allegations of negligence and delayed medical intervention surfaced, shedding light on systemic failures within the healthcare system.
The protesters demanded accountability directed towards the medical staff implicated in mishandling the journalist’s critical condition.
The protesters strongly denounced the targeted assassination of Ishfaq Ahmed Siyal and the alleged negligence at DHQ Hospital and demanded justice for the deceased journalist
