JazzCash, PITB Ink MoU to Facilitate Tax Payments

Lahore: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and JazzCash, a prominent digital financial services provider, have formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate tax payment services in Pakistan.

The MoU was signed by Khurram Mushtaq, Assistant Director General of PITB, and Arif Mahmood Chaudhry, Head of Public Sector Partnerships at JazzCash.

This collaborative agreement outlines plans for JazzCash and PITB to enhance bill payment services by integrating e-Pay Punjab with JazzCash accounts. The primary objective of this strategic partnership is to streamline and elevate the digital payment landscape in Pakistan.

The MoU involves exploring joint ventures to promote the digitization of payments nationwide. This collaboration will enable JazzCash account holders to conveniently settle taxes and fees through PITB’s e-Pay Punjab platform.

Khurram emphasized its significance in advancing digital financial inclusion in Pakistan. He stated, “By leveraging the strengths of PITB and JazzCash, we aim to create a seamless and efficient bill payment experience for the citizens of Punjab.”

Arif  Mahmood, Head of Public Sector Partnerships at JazzCash, shared his excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to collaborate with PITB to contribute to the digital transformation of payment services. This partnership aligns with JazzCash’s commitment to providing innovative solutions for the growing needs of our customers.
