ITP Issues Special Traffic Plan for 11th Muharram Procession in Islamabad

Islamabad: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a special traffic plan for the 11th Muharram procession scheduled to take place on Monday in Noor Pur Shahan.

According to an ITP spokesperson, the procession will begin from the residence of Nawazish Shah, pass through Darbar Bazaar Road, and enter the shrine of Bari Imam before returning to its starting point for conclusion.

To facilitate the procession, T-cross on Quaid-e-Azam University Road and T-cross Bari Imam Chowk will be closed to general traffic during the event.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (R) Syed Zeeshan Haider advised commuters to use alternative routes such as Third Road, Margalla Road, Kashmir Chowk, and Murree Road to avoid inconvenience.

He also urged the public to refrain from illegal parking along the procession route and to utilize only designated parking areas.

CTO Zeeshan called on citizens to fully cooperate with traffic police and adhere to the traffic guidelines to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety during the religious gathering.
