Israeli Army Recovers Bodies of Five Hostages from Gaza

Jerusalem:The Israeli military announced that it has recovered the bodies of five individuals taken hostage by Hamas during their October 7 attack on southern Israel. 

The recovered hostages include Maya Goren, along with soldiers Ravid Aryeh Katz, Oren Goldin, Tomer Ahimas, and Kiril Brodski.

The bodies were retrieved on Wednesday in Khan Yunis, a key city in southern Gaza. The four soldiers were killed during the attack, while Goren’s death had been previously announced in December after she was abducted on October 7.

The recovery comes after two Israeli kibbutzim, Nir Oz and Nir Yitzhak, confirmed the return of Goren’s and Goldin’s bodies respectively. Nir Oz reported that Goren’s body was returned following a military operation, and Nir Yitzhak announced the recovery of Goldin’s body, noting his role in the kibbutz emergency team during the October 7 attack.
