Israeli Air Strikes Fail to Halt Iran’s Missile Production

Tehran: Iran announced on Wednesday that its missile production capabilities remain unaffected despite recent Israeli air strikes targeting its military facilities.
Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh reassured reporters, stating, “There has been no interruption in the process of producing offensive systems such as missiles,” and emphasized that “the enemy tried to damage both our defensive and offensive systems.”
The Israeli strikes, which took place on Saturday, were reportedly in response to Iran’s missile attack on October 1, which followed the deaths of Iran-backed militant leaders and a Revolutionary Guards commander. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that the air strikes “hit Iran’s defense capabilities and missile production.”
Iran’s armed forces reported that the attack resulted in the deaths of four soldiers and inflicted “limited damage” to some radar systems, while Iranian media noted that a civilian casualty was also reported.
Israel has cautioned Iran against retaliating, but Tehran has insisted it does not seek war and promised an “appropriate response.”
Western governments have long criticized Iran’s missile program, which has faced severe sanctions in recent years.
In September, the European Union imposed sanctions on key Iranian officials and entities for their alleged role in supplying missiles and drones to Russia for use in the Ukraine conflict. Tehran has consistently denied these allegations.
