Islamabad’s Streets Get a Fresh Look

Islamabad: Islamabad’s district administration has launched a citywide crackdown to remove unsightly wall chalking, aiming to restore the capital’s aesthetic appeal and maintain its clean, modern look.
The initiative, spearheaded by Assistant Commissioners, involves special teams working across various sectors to erase unauthorized advertisements, political slogans, and graffiti that mar public spaces. Local union councils and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) have also joined hands in the effort.
Taking a strict stance, the administration has ordered legal action against those responsible for defacing walls, warning advertisers against violating the city’s cleanliness regulations.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Memon, urged residents to actively participate in the campaign by reporting violators.
“A clean city is a shared responsibility. We need public support to preserve Islamabad’s beauty and ensure lasting results,” he stated.
With enforcement teams already in action, the city is set to reclaim its pristine streets, sending a strong message that visual pollution will no longer be tolerated.
