Islamabad Trails Closed Indefinitely After Weather Alert

Islamabad: Authorities in Islamabad have ordered the closure of all hiking trails in the Margalla Hills indefinitely following forecasts of heavy rainfall in the capital.

In a notification issued on Monday, the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad said the decision had been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety.

The notice stated that citizens would not be permitted access to any trail until further orders. The district administration also urged residents to avoid unnecessary visits to hilly areas during the rainy spell.
