Islamabad Traffic Police Opens Riding Classes for Women
News Desk
Islamabad: In a move aimed at enhancing women’s mobility and road safety awareness in the federal capital, the Islamabad Traffic Police has opened enrollments for the second batch of its “ITP Uraan Scooty & Motorcycle Riding School.”
An official said on Monday that the initiative goes beyond basic riding lessons and is part of a broader effort to promote safe, independent commuting options for women. The programme offers structured training in a women-centric environment, focusing on professional riding skills, traffic laws, and practical road safety measures.
The course is designed especially for beginners, combining classroom instruction with hands-on riding practice to build confidence and competence. Participants are trained in safe riding techniques, understanding traffic signals and road signs, and adopting responsible driving habits.
