Islamabad, Rawalpindi to Face Water Shortfall from Feb 10-19

Islamabad: Water supply to Islamabad and Rawalpindi will be significantly affected for 10 days as Khanpur Dam undergoes comprehensive cleaning from February 10 to 19, according to an official notification.
Islamabad will receive 5 million gallons less water per day, while Rawalpindi will face a daily shortfall of 13 million gallons.
Several areas, including Dhok Hassu, Pirwadhai, and Fauji Colony in Rawalpindi, as well as sectors D-12, G-10, G-11, F-10, F-11, and G-9 in Islamabad, will experience water shortages during this period.
Authorities have urged residents to use water cautiously until maintenance work at the dam is completed.
