Islamabad: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muhammad Jawad Tariq conducted an early morning inspection of security arrangements at mosques and Imambargahs across the city during Fajr prayers.
According to a public relations officer, the Islamabad Police, under the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP), have intensified security measures to ensure the safety of worshippers, particularly during prayer times.
DIG Tariq personally reviewed the arrangements and commended police personnel for their vigilance. He reiterated that safeguarding citizens and places of worship remains the police force’s top priority.
“Our primary duty is to protect worshippers and sacred sites. Ensuring their security is a form of worship itself,” he stated.
He further directed officers to stay active in the field and uphold their duty as a sacred responsibility.
