Islamabad Police Introduces 1INFO for Quick Rescue Alerts

News Desk

Islamabad: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police has officially launched a mobile application titled ‘1INFO’, aimed at enhancing public safety and streamlining communication between citizens and law enforcement agencies.

The initiative, developed under the vision of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi and the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to modernize policing and integrate digital solutions for better public service.

A police spokesperson told APP that the 1INFO app is now available for free download on the Islamabad Police’s official website, Apple Store, and Google Play Store.

The app offers two primary features:

Emergency Panic Button: With a single tap, users can send an instant SOS alert to the Islamabad Police. Upon activation, the nearest police rescue teams are immediately dispatched to the user’s location, ensuring timely assistance during emergencies.

Information Sharing Button: This feature allows citizens to report crimes, suspicious activities, or public safety issues by submitting voice notes, videos, or photographs. The platform ensures confidentiality and aims to encourage proactive community involvement in maintaining law and order.

The ICT Police has urged all residents of the capital to install the app for quicker access to emergency services and seamless interaction with law enforcement.

“This step reflects our commitment to citizen-centered policing and bringing technology-driven solutions to improve safety and security in Islamabad,” the spokesperson added.
