Islamabad Police Deployed in Anticipation of Upcoming Protest

Islamabad: In response to a planned rally by a political party on July 26 (Friday), the district administration of Islamabad has issued a directive under Section 144, prohibiting all rallies and protests in the city. 

The administration warns that any violations of this order will result in legal action.

To enforce this directive, the Islamabad police have been deployed across key areas. The district administration urges citizens to refrain from participating in any illegal activities related to the rally.

Punjab Bans Public Gatherings for Three Days

The Punjab Home Department has announced a ban on public gatherings, including jalsas, processions, rallies, sit-ins, and protests, under Section 144. This restriction will be in effect from Friday, July 26, to Sunday, July 28.

The decision, announced from Lahore, is aimed at maintaining law and order and protecting human lives and property. A spokesman for the Interior Department stated that the ban is in response to potential terrorism threats, as public gatherings could be vulnerable targets.

The administration across Punjab will enforce this order to ensure compliance.
