Islamabad Police Arrest Prime Suspect in Bank Robbery

Islamabad: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police successfully apprehended the main suspect in a recent bank robbery, recovering stolen cash, firearms, ammunition, and the motorcycle used in the crime.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of ICT Police, Syed Ali Raza, provided details during a press briefing at the Rescue 15 office.

The suspect, identified as Sulaiman, also known as Salo Bhai, was detained after a rigorous five-day investigation led by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and Crime Investigation Agency (CIA).

DIG Raza stated that the operation utilized advanced surveillance technology, digital tracking, and data analysis to locate the suspect, who has a criminal history involving similar offenses in Sargodha.

The DIG commended the police teams for their diligence in solving the case and emphasized ICT Police’s commitment to the safety of all citizens in the capital. To recognize the teams’ efforts, IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has announced rewards for the officers involved.
