Islamabad Gets New DIG (Operations), Rawalpindi New CPO

ISLAMABAD /RAWALPINDI: Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari assumed the charge as Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Islamabad and Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani as City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi on Monday.
According to the details, after assuming charge of his office, the newly appointed DIG (Operations) visited different sections of the police department and held an introductory meeting with the concerned staff.
Shahzad Nadeem, during his interactions, said, “It should be clear to all that we all have to uphold the rule of law, protect the life and property of citizens, perform our duties responsibly and efficiently, and in this process, no one, including me, is above the law.”
The DIG (Operations) made it clear that if anyone thinks that he will misuse the power of his uniform, it will not be acceptable.
“All of us would work together as a team and play our role in making this city more peaceful,” DIG (Operations) Bukhari affirmed.
Meanwhile, Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani has also assumed the charge of his office as CPO Rawalpindi.
After assuming the charge, a smart contingent of police presented a guard of honour which SSP (Investigation) Zunaira Azfar, SP (Headquarters) Maham Khan, SP (Potohar) Muhammad Waqas Khan, SDPOs and other officers welcomed on his arrival.
CPO Khalid Mahmood Hamdani visited the martyrs’ memorial and offered prayers for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs. He also visited the gallery and recorded his impressions.
During his visit, the CPO paid rich tribute to martyrs, adding that the sacrifices of the martyrs are eternal and will always be remembered.
Hamdani said that the prevention of crimes will be the first priority, for the convenience of the citizens.
He further stated that service delivery will be improved and “timely redressal of citizens’ complaints is among my top priorities,” as per the vision of IG Punjab.
