News Desk

Islamabad: With Independence Day celebrations approaching, the Islamabad district administration has imposed a citywide ban on the sale and use of bajas (vuvuzelas) to curb public nuisance and maintain order in the federal capital.

According to officials, the decision aims to ensure a peaceful environment in the lead-up to August 14.

In line with the directive, the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad has ordered all field officers to initiate immediate on-ground operations to seize bajas from roadside stalls and vendors across the city. The operation is to be conducted daily until Independence Day.

The administration has warned that individuals or vendors found selling or using bajas will face strict legal action, including fines and confiscation of goods.

Authorities have urged the public to cooperate in maintaining discipline and decorum during national celebrations.
