Is Randhawa the Right Fit for Islamabad as Chief Commissioner?

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has removed Chief Commissioner Capt Retired Anwar-ul-Haq from his post as chief commissioner Islamabad.
The Ministry of Interior has formally requested the Establishment Division to consider appointing Commissioner Lahore, Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa, to either the role of Chief Commissioner of Islamabad or within the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
Muhammad Ali Randhawa, a Grade 20 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, is the proposed candidate for these positions.
Following Shehbaz Sharif’s decision to remove Chief Commissioner Capt Retired Anwar-ul-Haq, the Ministry of Interior has taken steps to advocate for Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa’s transfer.
Admin Ghulam Murtaza, a section officer at the Ministry of Interior, has penned a letter to the Secretary of the Establishment Division, urging the utilization of Ali Randhawa’s services either as the Chief Commissioner in Islamabad or as part of the CDA.
This recommendation underscores the ministry’s belief in his suitability for these roles and emphasizes the need for his transfer to the Ministry of Interior.
