Ireland Sets 194 Target for Pakistan to Win Second T20

Islamabad: Ireland set a target of 194 runs for Pakistan to chase in the second T20 match held in Dublin. 

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss against Ireland, Pakistan witnessed Ireland’s team amass 193 runs, losing 7 wickets within the stipulated 20 overs.

Shahee#n Shah Afridi emerged as a notable performer, claiming 3 wickets while conceding 49 runs in 4 overs. Mohammad Amir and Naseem Shah each secured 1 wicket, with Abbas Afridi grabbing 2 wickets.

The return of Mohammad Amir to the national team saw him replacing Shadab Khan in the playing XI.

Pakistan’s lineup boasted the likes of captain Babar Azam, Saimee Ayub, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Azam Khan, Iftekhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Shahin Afridi, Naseem Shah, Abbas Afridi, and Mohammad Amir.

Ireland’s squad, led by Paul Stirling, featured players such as Mark Adair, Andrew Balbirnie, Curtis Campher, Gareth Delany, George Dockrell, Graham Hume, Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, Ben White, and Craig Young.

It’s worth noting that in the initial match of the three-game T20 series, Ireland secured victory over Pakistan by 5 wickets. Ireland had set a target of 183 runs, losing 5 wickets, and managed to achieve it with 1 ball remaining, marking their first triumph against Pakistan in T20 encounters.
