Iran’s Attack on Israel Could Have Been Thwarted: Trump
News Desk
Islamabad: Former US President Donald Trump criticized Iran’s retaliation against Israel, stating that if he were still in office, such an attack wouldn’t have occurred.
Trump made these remarks on his social media platform ‘Truth’, asserting that Israel’s safety should have been ensured. Israel’s Defense Forces reported intercepting over 200 missiles and drones launched from Iran, causing minor damage but no casualties.
In a subsequent phone call between US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, Biden reaffirmed the United States’ steadfast support for Israel.
Iran had previously warned of retaliating against Israel following an Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus on April 1, which resulted in the death of 12 individuals, including a leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
