iPhone 18 Pro May Scrap Front Notch – Leak Details

News Desk

Islamabad: Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 series may bring a major redesign to its flagship models, according to leaks circulating on Chinese social media.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are rumored to adopt under-screen Face ID, potentially eliminating the pill-shaped cutout that has defined iPhones since the iPhone X.

The details come from Digital Chat Station, a popular Weibo account with over three million followers known for accurate Apple leaks.

The leaker also claims that display sizes will remain consistent with the previous generation: 6.3 inches for the iPhone 18 Pro and 6.9 inches for the iPhone 18 Pro Max, both supporting 120Hz LTPO refresh rates.

If the under-screen Face ID is confirmed, it could reshape the front display experience, though questions remain about the future of Apple’s Dynamic Island. While the TrueDepth sensor cutouts would be hidden under the display, some speculate that Dynamic Island might still appear for certain alerts or Live Activities.

Meanwhile, the rumored standard iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 are expected to retain the Dynamic Island and similar display sizes to their predecessors—6.3 inches and 6.5 inches, respectively.

According to current reports, Apple may follow its usual September launch for the Pro models, while the standard iPhone 18 and Air 2 could arrive later, potentially in March 2027.

Industry observers say the under-screen Face ID would mark a significant step toward a truly uninterrupted front display, a feature long anticipated by Apple fans.

As always with Apple leaks, these details remain unconfirmed, but they provide an early glimpse at how the tech giant could evolve its flagship iPhones in the coming years.
