Inter’s Arnautovic, Thuram Get Nod for Frosinone Encounter
News Desk
Islamabad: Inter is giving Marko Arnautovic and Marcus Thuram a chance for tonight’s match against relegation-threatened Frosinone, with Matias Soule and Walid Cheddira leading the attack.
The game kicks off at the sold-out Stadio Stirpe at 19:45 UK time (18:45 GMT).
Despite already winning the Scudetto, Inter suffered a setback with a 1-0 loss to Sassuolo. Coach Simone Inzaghi aims to avoid a repeat, rotating the squad with Lautaro Martinez rested and Francesco Acerbi injured. Thuram partners Arnautovic, while Nicolò Barella and Federico Dimarco return to the side.
Frosinone, two points clear of relegation, faces forced changes due to Enzo Barrenechea’s suspension and several injuries. Their standout player, Matias Soule, has 11 goals and three assists this season but has struggled recently, scoring just once in his last 11 games.
Frosinone has lost all five previous Serie A meetings with Inter, scoring only one goal while conceding 13.
Frosinone’s lineup features Cerofolini in goal, with Lirola, Okoli, and Bonifazi in defense. Zortea, Mazzitelli, Reinier, and Valeri occupy the midfield, while Brescianini and Soulé lead the attack alongside Cheddira.
Inter’s lineup includes Sommer in goal, with Bisseck, De Vrij, and Carlos Augusto forming the defensive line. Darmian, Frattesi, Asllani, Barella, and Dimarco make up the midfield, while Thuram and Arnautovic spearhead the attack.
