International Day of Palestinian Journalists Today

Islamabad: Journalist unions and associations from more than 100 countries are celebrating today (February 26) as the International Day of Palestinian Journalists.

The International Federation of Journalists and the Federation of Arab Journalists say they are celebrating this day in support of fellow journalists in Palestine.

The organizations described the death of 100 journalists in the 4 months since the start of the war as a ‘terrible and unnecessary tragedy’.

The Australian Union of Journalists MEAA said in a post on social media that the world is seeing the destruction of Gaza because of Palestinian journalists and without them the humanitarian crisis would not be visible.
