Peshawar: The residents of Peshawar have expressed their dissatisfaction regarding the absence of staff at three general hospitals, namely Hayatabad Medical Complex, Hayat Teaching Hospital, and Lady Reading Hospital.
Specific complaints were made about the absence of staff at the health card counters of these hospitals.
The Secretary of Health for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has taken serious note of this issue.
Citizens who visited the hospitals to obtain health cards were left waiting as the staff was absent, leaving them without guidance on the process.
After observing complaints on social media, the Secretary of Health has taken action by ordering the immediate suspension of the relevant staff and initiating an inquiry into the matter.
A letter has been dispatched to the insurance company to conduct an investigation into the conduct of the concerned staff.
