In Thar, life of Sadhu who told the time of his death was saved

Karachi: The Sadhu, who announced the time of his death by announcing the adoption of the religious ritual of Samandhi in Mati, the headquarters of Tharparkar, a desert district of Sindh province, was rescued by the authorities by taking timely action.

Samadhi is a Hindu religious ritual in which religious people of the Hindu religion anticipate their own death, after which they stay at a certain place and abstain from food and drink for several days.

According to Samandhi ritual, religious people believe that the time of their death has come, so they stop eating, drinking and socializing without being aware of the world and when such people die, they are given the same fate. The place is buried, where they become unconscious of the world without food or drink in the last days of life.

The 80-year-old Bhagat Khemchand Khemum Meghwar of Mithi city had also announced to take Samandhi while telling the time of his death.

Sadhu, a resident of North Meghwar Colony, announced to take Samadhi and told his family that he would die between July 23 and 24 by 12 midnight and had stopped eating and drinking a few days before the announcement. .

After Sadhu’s announcement, his taking Samandhi went viral on social media and people mocked him and questioned his beliefs while likening his act to a suicide announcement.

When Bhagat did not die at the time of his death, he gave a new time for the end of his life, that he would leave the world on 25th July.

After the news of Bhagat’s announcement went viral on social media, Mithi SSP Hasan Sardar Niazi took notice and reached his house and stopped him from taking Samandhi by ending his ‘barat’ (fasting).

Many citizens along with the SSP also reached Bhagat’s house and told him to come out of Samandhi, society needs him as he is appointed in Hindu religious ceremonies.

SSP Hasan while talking to the media after taking out Sadhu from Samandhi said that he has explained to Bhagat Khemchand, now he will not take any wrong step, the police will also help him in his treatment.

According to him, he is in shock after the death of his wife, that’s why he said such things, but now he will not take Samandhi.

Bhagat, dressed in garb, has been performing Bhagati in the camps of Meghwar for many years and there is also a temple in his house.

Last week, Bhagat’s wife Marv Meghwar died at the age of 75, after which Bhagat observed a fast and said that his wife had told him that he too was going to die soon.

According to Bhagat, his wife had told him a few moments before she died that she would call him too.
