Islamabad: The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) is set to host a paper cutting exhibition titled “The Guiding Light” on April 22 at Gallery No. 2.
This exhibition will showcase the artwork of renowned artist Tusif Ahmad, whose unique focus on Islamic stories sets him apart as the only paper-cutting artist in the world doing so.
The intricate art of paper cutting involves crafting entire paintings from a single piece of paper, resulting in delicate and detailed masterpieces.
Ahmad shared his pride in this distinction, stating, “One honor that I am particularly proud of is that I am the only paper-cutting artist in the world that focuses on Islamic stories.”
Over the past 12 years, Ahmad has produced hundreds of art pieces, which have been exhibited in galleries globally, earning him numerous national and international accolades.
Following the exhibition, there will be an artist talk and workshop on “papercut art.”
