“Illegal Settlements: CDA Cracks Down on Sector I-12, Reclaims 800 Kanal

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has launched a crackdown against illegal settlements and vacated 800 kanal of precious land from the squatters in Sector I-12 on Thursday.

After the demolished settlements in Sector I-12, it would help to ensure proper urban development in the area.

The civic agency is conducting the operation in collaboration with the local administration and the Islamabad Police. As a result of the operation, over 1,000 illegal room structures have been demolished with the assistance of heavy machinery.

Moreover, the retrieved land has been handed over to the Sector Development Authorities.

The authority has reaffirmed its commitment to continue the operation against illegal construction and encroachments, ensuring the rule of law in the federal capital.

The ongoing anti-encroachment operation has already yielded the recovery of government land worth billions of rupees in the past few months.
