Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has intensified monitoring of the ongoing HSSC-I examinations to ensure transparency and fairness in the examination process.
During a surprise inspection at the Government Graduate College, Satellite Town, Controller of Examinations Tanvir Asghar Awan foiled an impersonation attempt.
According to officials, candidate Husnain Ibrahim had been replaced by Muhammad Aqib, who was caught attempting to take the exam on his behalf. An FIR was immediately registered, and the suspect was handed over to the police.
Chairman BISE, Muhammad Adnan Khan, also carried out surprise visits to various examination centers across the city. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to uphold a transparent and merit-based examination system, aligned with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Speaking to the media, Controller Tanvir Asghar Awan reaffirmed the board’s commitment to eliminating cheating mafias and maintaining strict vigilance. He stressed that strict action will continue against any individuals or networks involved in unfair practices.
“The integrity of our examination system is non-negotiable,” he stated, adding that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure a fair academic environment for students.
