IGP Police Dismisses DSP Farooqi on Misconducts

Karachi: Deputy Superintendent of Police, Faheem Farooqi, has been dismissed from his service after he was found guilty of misconduct in the inquiry reports, police sources said on Thursday.

Following thorough inquiries into Deputy Superintendent of Police Faheem Farooqi’s conduct, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Riffat Mukhtar Raja taken this decisive action.

A final order issued by the AIG/Establishment-1 Central Police Office in Karachi confirmed Farooqi’s guilt on multiple charges of misconduct.

In light of the evidence and after careful consideration of Farooqi’s record, the IG Sindh, in accordance with Rule 4(b)(v) of Sindh Police (E&D) Rules 1988 (amended in 1999), has imposed the major penalty of dismissal from service. Despite opportunities for rectification, Farooqi’s consistent failure to adhere to expected standards compelled this severe action.

The Provincial Police Officer emphasized that this decision was taken after completing all necessary procedures. It reflects Farooqi’s persistent disregard for correction, rendering him unsuitable for continued service within the force.
