The attack on the place of worship resulted in multiple casualties and injuries, triggering widespread grief across the federal capital.

Authorities have reiterated their resolve to bring the perpetrators to justice, while prayers continue for the martyrs and for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Emergency Declared in Islamabad Hospitals: Tariq Fazal

Expressing solidarity with the bereaved families, the minister said the government shared their grief and stood with them in this difficult time.

Condemning the attack in strong terms, he described the targeting of innocent civilians and places of worship as an act of terrorism, adding that terrorists were enemies of Pakistan and Islam.

He said Pakistan’s armed forces and intelligence agencies were fully engaged in counter-terrorism efforts and reiterated that the complete elimination of terrorism remained the government’s top priority.

The minister also alleged that terrorist activities originating from across the border, particularly from India, were behind such attacks, including incidents in Balochistan, former FATA areas and now Islamabad.

He assured the affected families that the government would continue to provide all possible medical and humanitarian support to the injured and said efforts for their early recovery would remain a priority in the coming days.

Naqvi Visits Tarlai Imambargah After Blast

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Friday visited the Tarlai Imambargah following a suicide blast that claimed several lives earlier in the day, and vowed swift action against those responsible for the attack.

Naqvi returned from Dubai and proceeded directly to the site, accompanied by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Interior Secretary Khurram Agha, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, and Inspector General of Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi.

The federal delegation offered Maghrib and Isha prayers at the Imambargah and remained at the site for over an hour, offering prayers for the martyrs and expressing solidarity with the bereaved families. They also prayed for national peace, religious harmony and unity.

The interior minister and Talal Chaudhry inspected the blast site and reviewed the security situation. During a meeting with the Imambargah administration, Naqvi strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a cowardly assault on innocent worshippers.

Expressing deep grief over the loss of lives, Naqvi directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman to ensure the immediate restoration of the damaged Imambargah.

He reiterated that terrorists operating in Pakistan were receiving foreign support and were intent on destabilising the country, adding that the nation remained united against forces seeking to undermine peace and progress.

Minister of State Talal Chaudhry said the government would continue its efforts until terrorism was eliminated from the country.

Naqvi ordered a comprehensive investigation into the attack and assured that those responsible would be brought to justice. He also prayed for the swift recovery of the injured and instructed the relevant authorities to ensure the best possible medical treatment for them.
