ICT Police Conduct Grand Search Operation in Shams Colony

Islamabad: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted a large-scale search and combing operation on Friday in areas falling under the jurisdiction of Shams Colony Police Station, part of the Industrial Area Zone.
According to an official source, the operation was led under the supervision of the SP Industrial Area Zone. A sizable police force, including female constables, took part in the operation. Before the launch, personnel received a detailed briefing on the operational strategy.
During the operation, law enforcement questioned 150 individuals and searched 100 locations, including houses, inns, hotels, and motels. Seven motorcycles were also inspected.
As a result, 17 suspects and three motorcycles were taken to the police station for further investigation.
The official added that the purpose of this grand search operation was to clamp down on criminal activity in the area. The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad had issued specific instructions to conduct extensive search operations across the district, calling on the public to cooperate with authorities during these security checks.
