ICT Police Bust Vehicle Theft Ring

Islamabad: Islamabad police have successfully apprehended a member of a vehicle lifter gang and recovered a stolen trailer along with goods valued at over 35 million rupees.
According to an ICT police public relations officer, the operation was conducted under the special directions of Inspector General (IG) Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has mandated an intensified crackdown against criminal activities in the city.
Acting on these directives, the Sihala police team utilized both technical and human resources to apprehend the wanted gang member, identified as Shoukat Khan.
In addition to the arrest, the police recovered a trailer and goods worth 35 million rupees from Khan’s possession.
A case has been registered against the accused, and further investigation is ongoing. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious individuals or activities through the emergency helpline ‘Pucar-15’ or the “ICT-15” app.

The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Tuesday issued an updated traffic plan in light of the prevailing security situation, announcing multiple road closures, diversions, and restricted entry points across the federal capital.
An ITP official told APP that the entry of all heavy vehicles into Islamabad remains suspended until further notice. Several routes within and around the Red Zone have been closed, while others are partially open under controlled traffic flow to ensure smooth movement.
