ICT Launches Crackdown On Dengue Amid Rising Cases

News Desk

Islamabad: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has launched city-wide surveillance and control operations to address the escalating threat of dengue fever.

Under the directives of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, all Assistant Commissioners (ACs) have ramped up efforts to combat the dengue threat, demonstrating the city’ s dedication to this issue, said ICT administration Spokesperson.

Daily inspections for dengue larvae are being conducted, with several individuals arrested for non-compliance with dengue guidelines. Areas where larvae are detected are promptly sealed off.

Additionally, business outlets have been shut down for failing to implement required anti-dengue measures. These closures are part of a comprehensive effort to enforce health regulations designed to prevent the breeding of dengue-carrying mosquitoes.

DC Nawaz emphasised the necessity of city-wide measures to eliminate dengue larvae and called for thorough and impartial inspections across all sectors of the city. Memon also highlighted the importance of keeping citizens informed about ongoing operations and health precautions.
