ICT Admin Fights Polio Refusal Challenges

Islamabad: The district administration of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) ensured the coverage of vaccination in non-availability areas and focused on refusal cases on the third day of the polio immunization campaign.
Assistant Commissioners Secretariat Aneel Saeed, along with District Monitoring Officers (DMO), Union Councils’ Monitoring Officers, and District Health Communication Support Officers (DHCSOs), supervised the polio vaccination drive in Bara Kahu.
The Evening Review Meeting (ERM), which the AC secretariat presided over, discussed progress, microplans, targeted coverage, refusal areas, and other vaccination campaign-related issues. He additionally instructed officials to make sure that each child was immunised.
As many as 421,455 children under the age of five will receive the polio vaccine during the seven-day anti-polio campaign through door-to-door outreach.
