Islamabad: In line with the instructions from the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, the Assistant Commissioner (AC) of Potohar Sub Division conducted raids in various areas of the division on Tuesday to enforce the price lists for essential commodities.
During a raid at a vegetable market, the police apprehended 15 individuals who were allegedly involved in violating price regulations. The accused were charged with offenses related to overpricing and failing to display price lists for edible items.
The AC issued notices and warnings to those found in violation of the rules. In a statement, the AC emphasized that strict adherence to government-set prices for essential goods would be enforced, and no one would be permitted to flout the regulations.
This action reflects the local authorities’ commitment to ensuring fair pricing and preventing the exploitation of consumers by those seeking to overcharge for essential commodities. The issuance of notices and warnings serves as a deterrent to discourage future violations and promote compliance with the established price guidelines.
