News Desk
Islamabad: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has provisionally suspended West Indies cricketer Jevon Searles along with two team officials, Chittaranjan Rauthur and Trevin Griffith, over alleged violations of the ICC’s Anti-Corruption Code.
According to the ICC, the suspensions are linked to corruption allegations related to the BIM T10 League held in Barbados.
The global cricket governing body said the individuals face multiple charges under its anti-corruption regulations. These include alleged involvement in match-fixing or attempts to influence match outcomes, encouraging corrupt practices, and failing to cooperate with the ongoing investigation.
The ICC also stated that Trevin Griffith has been specifically charged with failing to cooperate with the investigation into the alleged breaches.
The ICC confirmed that all three individuals have been suspended from participating in any form of cricket-related activities while the probe remains underway.
Reaffirming its stance against corruption, the ICC said it remains committed to safeguarding the integrity of cricket and will continue to take strict action against any violations of its anti-corruption rules.
