Islamabad: “I have no shame in saying that I openly admit my defeat,’ tweeted Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, on Friday morning.
It is sad to see that PTI candidate Ali Bukhari has been defeated in Constituency 48 Islamabad seat while he was clearly winning. Those who are said to have changed the result were nowhere in the race, he added in his tweet.

It is to mention here that Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar is associated with the PPP. Khokhar has been an active political figure and has been involved in various political activities representing the PPP. He has played a role in advocating for the party’s policies and objectives.
In response to Khokhar’s tweet, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, a former prime minister and PML-N senior leader, emphasizes that the people of Pakistan have unequivocally expressed their will.
Any attempts to manipulate their mandate, he warns, will lead to unsustainable chaos. With the intensity of the electoral process now behind, Abbasi advocates for allowing the country to heal.
The people of Pakistan have spoken, loudly and clearly; any attempt to manipulate their mandate will result in unsustainable chaos.
The heat of the electoral process has passed; it is time to allow the country to heal.
The political leadership – Mian Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali…— Shahid Khaqan Abbasi (@SKhaqanAbbasi) February 8, 2024
He calls upon political leaders, including Mian Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, Imran Khan, Maulana Fazal ur Rehman, and others, to transcend petty politics and collaborate in addressing the formidable challenges confronting the nation.
Abbasi emphasizes the need for political figures to recognize that history tends to be unkind to self-serving politicians.
