Husband Denies Abuse Claims as Marital Feud Plays Out Online

Islamabad: A public dispute between a social media influencer Dr Nabiha and her husband has intensified after the husband released a video statement rejecting allegations made by his wife about their troubled marriage.
In his statement, the husband dismissed claims of abuse and serious conflict, asserting that the core issue in their relationship was “excessive suspicion and mistrust.” He maintained that there had been no physical violence, verbal abuse or major altercations during their marriage.
According to him, his wife had been living happily with him and his family.
He claimed tensions escalated after he launched a new business venture, alleging that his wife insisted on accompanying him to professional meetings, social gatherings and work-related engagements. He argued that bringing a spouse to every such event was neither appropriate nor practical.

He further alleged that whenever he left home for work, his wife suspected him of going elsewhere for undisclosed reasons — a claim he strongly denied.
“I have never been involved in any illegal or immoral activity,” he said, adding that his priority had always been to work and support his family.
The couple first attracted widespread attention on social media when they announced their engagement and subsequent marriage last year, surprising followers. However, reports of marital discord began surfacing within months.
Recently, the doctor spoke on a television programme, revealing that her marriage was facing serious challenges. While stating that the relationship had not formally ended, she warned that circumstances could ultimately lead to divorce.
She alleged that if the marriage breaks down, her husband’s family would bear responsibility. According to her, her husband is heavily influenced by his parents and has treated her unfairly as a result.
She also questioned why the marriage was arranged if the family had preferred another match.
The doctor said she had devoted herself fully to her marital home, cared for her mother-in-law and scaled back her professional commitments in an effort to preserve the relationship.
As the dispute continues to unfold publicly, neither side has indicated whether reconciliation efforts are under way, leaving followers closely watching developments in the high-profile marital rift.
