Islamabad: Humraaz, Geo TV’s latest mega drama, premiered today, marking a powerful start. Directed by acclaimed Pakistani director Farooq Rind—known for the hit Ishq Murshid on Hum TV—the drama is written by Misbah Nosheen and produced by Asad Qureshi and Abdullah Kadwani under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment. The lead roles are played by Ayeza Khan and Feroze Khan, generating major excitement among fans.
In the first episode, Ayeza Khan’s character, Sara, becomes engaged to her cousin Ahmer, portrayed by Zahid Ahmed. Feroze Khan takes on the intense role of Saim, a passionate and aggressive young man who shares a deep bond with his elder brother Faraz, played by Haroon Shahid.
Fans of Ayeza and Feroze are thrilled about their return in such a gripping project. Farooq Rind’s direction is also receiving high praise. However, some viewers expressed disappointment with the serious tone of the storyline, as they had hoped for a romantic narrative between the lead pair.
Discussions and predictions about the characters are already circulating online. One viewer said, “I’m impressed by Ayeza. I wanted to see her in a darker role after Mere Paas Tum Ho.” Another remarked, “Ayeza’s role in Humraaz feels like a mix of Mubashira Jaffer and Mahnoor.”
Speculation about the plot is heating up, with one fan predicting, “Haroon Shahid’s character will die, and Ayeza Khan will be responsible.”
Feroze Khan’s performance has also drawn strong reactions, with one viewer commenting, “Feroze is giving serious Vivek Oberoi and Ajay Devgn vibes, especially in the scene where he says, ‘Jisko thappa maara, wo mera bhai hai.’” Another predicted, “Feroze Khan’s character might die by the end of the drama.”
Despite a few viewers finding the multiple sub-plots slightly confusing, the show has been generally well-received for its compelling storyline and strong performances.
