Household Survey Teams Hit Islamabad Streets

Islamabad: Teams conducting the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Household Survey started visiting households across the federal capital early Tuesday, officials said.
The survey, launched to update household data across urban, rural, and suburban areas, aims to support city planning, improve public services, and ensure government records are accurate, a spokesman for the ICT administration noted.
Assistant commissioners briefed survey teams on guidelines, data requirements, and operational procedures before field activities commenced. Teams have been instructed to follow designated routes, reach assigned areas on time, and engage residents transparently while collecting information.

Residents are being asked to provide basic details about their family, residence, and contact information. To streamline the process, the administration has introduced the ICT Household Survey mobile application, allowing citizens to self-register household data without waiting for field teams.
Officials said self-registration via the app will accelerate data collection, reduce repeated visits, and lessen the workload of survey teams. The app has been designed for simplicity, with automatic verification and integration into a central database.
Field teams continue to visit homes and guide residents on using the app, especially encouraging those with smartphones and internet access to register their information immediately. Households unable to use the app will still be assisted in person.
Assistant commissioners appealed to residents to cooperate with survey staff to ensure timely completion of the survey. “The ICT Household Survey is a key initiative for improving city planning and service delivery,” officials said, urging citizens to provide accurate information.
