House Collapse Claims Four of Family Amid Heavy Rain

Lower Dir: Tragedy struck a family in the Luqman Banda area of Lower Dir when their dilapidated house collapsed during a heavy downpour on Monday, claiming the lives of at least four members.

According to Rescue 1122, it took approximately five hours of strenuous efforts to recover the lifeless bodies from the debris amidst challenging conditions caused by heavy rain and muddy terrain.

Among the deceased were a woman, a young girl, and two children. The joint efforts of Rescue 1122, Civil Defense, and local volunteers were crucial in the rescue operation.

Following the recovery, the bodies were transported to the hospital for a final medical examination before being handed over to their grieving relatives. The victims were identified as Subhania Bibi, the wife of Muslim Zada, along with Mujtaba (9 months old), Raham Seb Bibi (17), and Husna Bibi (9 months old).

The sight of the bodies being prepared for burial evoked deep emotions in the community, highlighting the profound loss suffered by the affected family and the entire locality.
