Hot Weather Sweeps Across Country

Islamabad: The weather is expected to remain very hot across the country today (Saturday).
The southern regions are likely to experience hot conditions accompanied by dusty winds and thunderstorms. On Friday, Jacobabad recorded the highest temperature in the country at a scorching 50 degrees Celsius.
Dadu and Turbat followed closely with temperatures reaching 49 degrees, while Sibi and Lasbela recorded 48 degrees. Several other areas including Khairpur, Nurpur Thal, Bahalingar, Bhakkar, and Mohenjo Daro experienced temperatures of 47 degrees.
Dera Ghazi Khan, Khanpur, Larkana, Mandi Bahauddin, Kasur, and Okara recorded 46 degrees.
Major cities also faced intense heat, with Lahore, Multan, Jhelum, and Nawabshah reaching 45 degrees Celsius. The capital, Islamabad, along with Peshawar, Hyderabad, and Chakwal, recorded temperatures of 42 degrees.
Muzaffarabad experienced 39 degrees, Karachi 36 degrees, Quetta 33 degrees, and Gilgit 30 degrees Celsius. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to stay safe in the extreme heat.
