Hot, Humid Weather Persists in Lahore

Lahore: Lahore continued to experience hot and humid weather on Wednesday, with the Meteorological Department forecasting similar conditions over the next 24 hours. Scattered rain showers are also expected in some areas.
According to the MET Office, moist currents from the Arabian Sea and a westerly wave are affecting the upper parts of the country. These systems are likely to bring rain-wind/thundershowers to Kashmir, Islamabad, Upper Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with isolated heavy falls in some areas.
Light showers may also occur in central and southern Punjab, southeastern Sindh, and parts of northeastern and southern Balochistan.
Rainfall was recorded in several cities, including Murree, Jhelum, Mangla, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Takht Bai, Kakul, Lower Dir, Cherat, Saidu Sharif, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Kotli, Zhob, and Astore.
The highest temperature in the country was recorded in Nokkundi at 48°C, while Lahore sweltered at 39°C, with a real-feel temperature of 43°C, making conditions particularly oppressive for residents.
