Hot, Humid Weather Persists in Lahore

Lahore: Lahore experienced hot, humid, and cloudy weather on Wednesday, with the maximum temperature reaching 37.4°C and the minimum recorded at 27.5°C.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain accompanied by strong winds and thunder is expected in various parts of the country on Thursday, September 26.

Weather officials reported that moist currents from the Bay of Bengal are expected to penetrate the upper regions of Pakistan starting Wednesday night, while a westerly wave is likely to affect northern areas from September 26.

 Rain, windstorms, and thundershowers are anticipated in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, Islamabad, northeast Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir. Isolated areas in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, Islamabad, and Kashmir could also experience heavy rainfall or hailstorms.

Meanwhile, other parts of the country will continue to experience hot and humid conditions. The highest temperature in the country on Wednesday was recorded in Noukundi, where the mercury soared to 43°C.
