Hot, Dry Weather with Isolated Showers

Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and dry weather for most regions of Pakistan over the next 24 hours.
However, rain-wind/thundershowers are expected at isolated locations in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, southeastern Sindh, and Kashmir.
A low-pressure area is advancing towards southeast Sindh, accompanied by a shallow westerly wave over the upper parts of the country, according to the forecast.
During the last 24 hours, dry weather prevailed across most regions, although isolated rain-wind/thundershowers were reported in lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, southeastern Sindh, Kashmir, central/northeast Punjab, southeastern Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Significant rainfall recorded included 18mm in Dera Ismail Khan (KP), 15mm in Mithi (Sindh), and 13mm in Kotli (Kashmir).
The highest temperatures recorded were 41°C in Nokkundi, and 40°C in Sibbi and Dalbandin.
