Hot, Dry Weather Grips Most Parts of Country: PMD
News Desk
Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and dry weather conditions for Islamabad and the majority of the country on Sunday, with dust-laden winds expected to sweep across the plains.
Daytime temperatures in the federal capital are likely to remain high, accompanied by dry conditions. Similar weather patterns are expected across most districts in Punjab, where intense heat will prevail, though gusty winds may bring some temporary relief in the afternoon.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, weather will remain hot, particularly in the southern districts, where severe heat is anticipated.
Sindh will continue to face scorching temperatures across most areas, along with strong, dusty winds, particularly in the plains. Balochistan is also expected to experience extremely hot and dry conditions throughout the day.
Despite the widespread heat, light overnight rainfall was recorded in a few areas. Cherat received the highest amount of rain at 12 millimetres, followed by Islamabad with 4 millimetres and Rawalpindi with 2 millimetres.
The PMD has advised citizens to take necessary precautions and stay hydrated during peak heat hours.
